My experience with StepChange began just over2 years ago, I'd gotten myself into serious trouble maxing out 2 credit cards and running up a sizeable overdraft with my bank which had left me over £15,000 in debt. Ironically it was a letter from one of my creditors that first brought StepChange to my attention and I'm really happy it did. This wasn't an easy way out or a promise to write off my debts but rather a means to consolidate and manage repayment in an affordabe way . StepCnge helped me to create a detailed report of all my outgoings and contacted all my creditors , on my behalf, with a repayment plan based on what I coula afford. It is such a weight off your mind knowing you have such a profesisonal organisation in your corner and although it hasn't always been easy and I still have over a year to go to be totally debt free, I think deciding to use StepChange was one of the best decisions I ever made.
