Finding debt freedom.

I fell into serious debt as the result of what someone else did. It was a real shock as i like to keep up to date and pay my accounts as soon as they fall due. Then I was not able to do that. Initially I found a company to manage payments but it cost me. Then I discovered StepChange. They stood as a buffer between me and my debtors. I sorted out how much I could afford to pay to my creditors and they sorted out the payments. There were no more phone calls from my debtors and I was able to have a more peaceful life. It took years, but at last, I made the final payment and my debtors were all satisfied. StepChange helped considerably in that I did not have to approach my debtors. I was always honest with StepChange and they certainly did their best for me. It is wonderful to know that my debts are now cleared and I don't have debts hanging over my head any more.
