Having been a member for about 8 years I have nothing but praise for the Police Credit Union. Taken from my monthly salary I don't notice the deduction. I save regularly for it to pay towards my annual holiday and I took out a loan which was quick and simple to take out. I would recommend it to all my colleagues. Reviewed on: 18th June 2020

Strong arm of support...

5 years ago I was recently widowed and needed to find funds to buy my first ever car! With my sons and myself to support I could only work part time and my situation was tough to handle. I approached the PCU for a loan as I had been a regular saver since I was an employee of Northumbria Police. My contact with PCU was always friendly and professional, explaining everything I needed to know at each stage of the process. This was exactly the kind of help and support I was desperately in need of at this time in my life. I was approved for a loan and I was simply overjoyed to have been given this opportunity to move my life forward. The enthusiasm I felt was almost matched by Graham (my contact at PCU) when he rang to tell me the fantastic news! I have, this week paid my loan in full and it is a tremendous feeling of achievement and success for me. I simply LOVE the fact that you speak with real people who understand you and can make decisions based on real life situations rather than a digitised system that doesn't factor in anything outside it's remit! The PCU feels safe, open and honest to me in a world where sadly not many things currently do. Keep up the great things that you do PCU - you helped change my life for the better.
