Zempler Bank offer two personal current accounts – the Freedom account and the Activeplus account.

The Freedom account has no monthly fees and the Activeplus account is £5.95 per month. There may be fees for sending money and withdrawing or paying in cash. Both accounts come with the option to add on an overdraft.

Ex-Zempler-y!

I had gone through a very difficult time personally and hadn’t been afforded time or help from named branches, BUT, Zempler, online account, easy to access customer support team, helped and set me up! I have been with them for a few years (formerly Cashplus) but I couldn’t recommend them enough. User friendly, inform you in advance of any upcoming maintenance services, reasonable monthly fee for use of service. 100% recommend! Thank you Zempler! Reviewed on: 17th April 2026

Best high street alternative
