Best value for money for independent consultants

If all you do is independent engineering consultancy, I have been unable to find lower prices than Kingsbridge. I frequently recommend Kingsbridge to friends and family, and would continue to do so even if they didn't have a refer a friend deal on. Feel free to google Aqueum and contact me if you don't have anyone to refer you... I have investigated consultancy insurance both for myself and freelances who work with me many times, and Kingsbridge always provides the most comprehensive package at the lowest price. T I suspect part of the low cost is that they have one policy package & (other than specifying levels) they won't diverge from it. For example, if you have equipment, etc. my experience is that they won't cover it. I cover my laptop, etc. on my home policy & other equipment on other business policies. Another frustration, causing them to drop a star is that they won't explain their policies. I wanted to work with another freelancer and they refused to explain either what one clause (referring subcontracts) meant, or how we should deal with it contractually. They referred us to their legal support line, who then told us that we would need to ask Kingsbridge. But if you just need straight forward solo independent consultant insurance (excluding equipment), Kingsbridge is in my experience definitely best value for money. Reviewed on: 24th July 2023

Poor customer service

Kingsbridge took ages to respond to my company insurance needs. What's more they couldn't recall my data that I used to buy the same insurance last year. Also the agent washed his hands of my complaint when I wanted more info about why the underwriter was taking too long to respond. Excellent Service

Well-riced insurance to cover all of the aspects needed, and a UK-based team to handle queries. The only time things slow down is when something out of the ordinary is requested and the broker gets involved, but this is par for the course. Reviewed on: 24th July 2023

Well provisioned insurance at a good price

There's not much to say to be honest, in my line of work I have to be insured to a certain amount and Kingsbridge provide it at a good price without me having to pay for 'extras'. The proof of the pudding would be if I came to claim, but touch wood this insurance stays as just peace of mind rather than having to claim against it. Reviewed on: 24th July 2023
