Account Name Does Not Reflect My Legal Calling Name

I have experienced ongoing issues with how my first and second given names are handled. I am originally from Germany, where it is common to use one’s second given name as the calling name. This is the name I have always used in my personal and professional life. However, the bank only recognizes my first given name, and all documents, communications, and business interactions reflect my first name rather than my second (calling) name. This has caused repeated confusion, especially in dealings with clients. Although I have raised this issue multiple times and received initial support, the process stalls due to internal policies, and no resolution has been implemented. From my perspective, this reflects poor customer service, as my professional identity is not being accurately recognized. Reviewed on: 13th February 2026

They are a Bank that keeps improving year after year

They have a minimalistic app but functional, and plenty of features. They started up very late compared to Starling or Monzo but they've are pulling ahead for me for the ability of coming up with new services and not just sticking to checking account and debit cards. for a techy person what I ask of my bank is, keep it minimal, simple, don't bloat the experience and keep it optional, no subscription tiers, no fancy metal cards, just do what a bank must do, be a decent professional bank, and Chase Bank is that.
