Very helpful

ClearScore has be really useful and I have been using it for over 4 years. From useful tips and regular updates I think they have really helped me to understand and improve my credit score. Also, the recommendations are great the fact you can see your chances of approval before applying really helps to keep credit score checks to a minimum and helps protect your credit score. Excellent

Almost without out doubt Clearscore has revolutionised the way in which lending is done in the UK. The service and help has personally allowed a better understanding of financial matters. Reviewed on: 21st January 2022

False offers.

Clearscore tells you are 100% approved for offers and then you get refused credit when you apply. All Clearscore does is increase your hard searches meaning you are less likely to get credit. Reviewed on: 13th December 2021

Good to check credit file.

I am never accepted for balance transfer offers recommended. Don't bother trying now. Reviewed on: 25th October 2021

Worst company to give your data to

Their credit view is made up. They say they gather your data from Equifax but they show up completely different information that Equifax has on you. They make up a score by their own and lie on the website saying that the score is from Equifax. When the truth is that they make up a score based on info from equifax. The wrong info they get somewhere else. Reviewed on: 23rd August 2021

Credit brokering can conflict with credit reporting

I used Clearscore to check my credit rating regularly and found considerable encouragement to take out high interest credit cards and high interest loans, despite having quite a poor credit score and being in a debt management plan. The app appears to focus on trying to sell financial products instead of providing credit report information. However the information regarding your credit report is clear and it's easier to track progress with the Timeline feature than on some other available credit reporting apps. I'm in a much better position both mentally and financially so can resist the spiral of taking out credit on top of credit but at vulnerable times having these "exclusive offers" flash up on opening the app can be difficult to resist as a short term solution to what turns into a considerably larger long term problem.
