I joined the first iteration of Clockwise Credit Union in 1998. There was issues with debt, loan sharks and deprivation in Nottingham. I thought the credit union was a brilliant idea. So I joined. I then experienced some financial hardship due to expecting a baby and experiencing a drop in income. I was amazed when the credit union told me I'd saved enough for a decent loan. I bought everything I needed for the new baby and paid back on easy and manageable terms. It reduced my stress ensuring I had a happier and no doubt healthier pregnancy. I always recommend joining to anyone who speaks to me about finances. Reviewed on: 29th April 2025
