During the meeting with business account manager in the branch we, the account manager and I, found out my account was being charged with the service which I never applied for. The manager promised to refund the charge and stop the charge payment.

Untill now, 2nd March, my account is still being charged. I emailed to the business account manager but the email failed to reach. I tried business telephone banking but the waiting time was unbearably long. When finally talked to the call agent, I was asked 3 security questions I never was told to prepare for the phone call.

Now there is no way round to fix this problem as there is no business account manager available in the local branch. To fix this I have to make an appointment with branch manager or wait to receive telephone banking pack.

I would not recomment HSBC Business account to anyone.

Standard Bank Account, Poor Service

HSBC has been my bank for 6 years and it used to be great. However, I'm just fed up that over the last few years the wait time to speak to customer service on the phone is an average of 20 minutes, and they send you from department to department. The online Live Chat functionality WAS great, until they started taking away the option to use it for important stuff like disputing fraudulent transactions. Customer service closing at 6pm Mon-Fri isn't good enough when I work full-time. Local branches have all closed so it's almost impossible to see an actual employee. I'm now leaving for Metro Bank, who I only hear and read good things about their service: Fast processes, branches open 7 days a week, 24/ hour UK based customer service, new cards printed on-site. This is the future. Goodbye HSBC.
