Great interest rate added every month

Getting both the standard interest rate and the Bonus interest rate added to you account every month (if you don't redraw money) is a great way of saving. I added £20,000 on December 25, 2025 and today January 3, 2026 HSBC added £13.31 in interest. So, that was only for 9 days. So after a whole month that would amount to approx. £930 in interest. Almost too good to be true, - but it is true ! Reviewed on: 2nd January 2026

12 Years with HSBC 4-5 with HSBC Premier

This product from HSBC was one of my fav choices of savings account ON BNS SAVER, it was definitely my go-to for an online savings account. From the higher interest rate 4% STILL as this review come out when every other banks has already lowered their interest rate for saving accounts products. Although I believe they've already announced the date when the interest on savings will go down sometimes next year. I've max as much, use it while its there. Reviewed on: 16th December 2024

Watch out for interest rate conditions

I have been an HSBC customer for over 20 years. I find HSBC ISA rates are always very low compared to market. Online bonus saver looks good on paper, however watch out for the top limits that you can put in and if you miss that limit a penny then the entire amount you put in will get discounted to the standard rate which is half of what they advertise, app won't show you that top limit, it used to but they took it away, super convenient. to drop under that limit you need to withdraw some of course and then all that month's savings are gone. HSBC won't even offer an email where you can place your complaint, you either need to tell and agent to tell god knows whom, or write a letter in the century we are in.
