This year's host
Fiona Allen is a fearless and warmly sassy comedian, whose sell-out debut Edinburgh Fringe show led to a highly successful UK tour. Her comedic style draws on her life as a busy mother of three, blending sharp anecdotes about family life with relatable, no-nonsense humour.
Fiona is perhaps best known for starring in and writing for the Emmy-winning and BAFTA-nominated TV comedy series Smack the Pony, and her extensive screen credits include Mock the Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Alan Partridge, Coronation Street, EastEnders, Shameless, Skins and Death in Paradise. She has also appeared in films including Fat Slags, Gladiatress and 24 Hour Party People.
A regular on the UK comedy circuit, Fiona has performed at venues from Headliners to The Comedy Cellar and beyond, delighting audiences with her fearless wit and infectious charm.
We’re very much looking forward to welcoming Fiona as host of the Insurance choice awards this November.
This year's venue
Located in the heart of the City of London, Plaisterers’ Hall is steeped in history and grandeur, and offers all the luxury and ambience needed to be a fabulous backdrop to celebrate the achievements of all companies taking part in the Insurance choice awards for 2025.
The show-stopping chandeliers, atmospheric coloured lighting and the live entertainment balcony in The Great Hall, are just a few features that will certainly add a ‘wow’ factor to the gala evening.
Bank, St Paul’s, Mansion House and Liverpool street tube stations, as well as Cannon Street, are all located within a 10-minute walk, making this venue incredibly accessible for all our guests.
