This year's host
Simon Evans is one of the UK’s most respected and best loved comedians. Familiar from countless TV and radio appearances and critically acclaimed tour shows, he is particularly popular on the corporate and after dinner circuit.
He has been at the top of his game now for over twenty-five years and his TV credits include appearances on BBC One’s Live at the Apollo, Michael McIntyre’s Roadshow, and Channel 4’s Stand Up for the Week.
On BBC Radio 4 his series Simon Evans Goes to Market, delighting audiences with his witty and insightful take on the comedically-unpromising territory of economics, has had six seasons so far, all of which prove among the most popular downloads on the Sounds App.
In 2025 Simon’s tour show Have We Met? with all the gnarly old charm and verve you’d expect, was live until April. After hosting our British bank awards in May, we're delighted he will be back for the Insurance choice awards in November.
This year's venue
Located in the heart of the City of London, Plaisterers’ Hall is steeped in history and grandeur, and offers all the luxury and ambience needed to be a fabulous backdrop to celebrate the achievements of all companies taking part in the Insurance choice awards for 2025.
The show-stopping chandeliers, atmospheric coloured lighting and the live entertainment balcony in The Great Hall, are just a few features that will certainly add a ‘wow’ factor to the gala evening.
Bank, St Paul’s, Mansion House and Liverpool street tube stations, as well as Cannon Street, are all located within a 10-minute walk, making this venue incredibly accessible for all our guests.
