He went into branch wanting to drawer out £5000 cash so that he could buy a new car. It was explained to him that that... He went into branch wanting to drawer out £5000 cash so that he could buy a new car. It was explained to him that that much cash couldn’t be authorised that day but offered a faster payment instead. He said that the way Joe explained it was very clear and he was very helpful. He said it would take 3 working days and that would need to verify his bank account, complete paperwork and see customers ID. Seen straight away and went to the counter to enquire about transaction. All security questions covered off and asked for ID and showed ID and signature and all OK. Customer commented that his daughter was with him and she was pleased around the security checks done. He was told that the funds would be in his current account in 3 days’ time and they were. All OK and customer was happy and he now understands that if he has to withdraw over £500, he gives us 48 hours’ notice and that faster payments don’t need a 3 day wait either. He couldn’t fault Joe at all; he was very helpful and although he went in for cash, he was very happy with the outcome as he now has the money in his current account waiting for a new car and the money isn’t sat at home.
