This is how a brokerage should be

Lightyear gives a taste of how a brokerage really should be. Onboarding is very straight forward. I have a personal account and two business accounts with Lightyear. Switching between them is just a swipe with a finger. Transaction fees are low, or non-existent. Deposits are instant. Withdrawals are often instant, and always free. Account statement is actually good for accounting. Support is fast, and professional. Interest rates are among the best. I love it. To win it all, they need to increase their coverage in terms of exchanges and products to invest in, add support for various tax sheltered accounts, and find a way to lower the cost of FX. Terrible customer support.

Out of any investment broker I have used their customer support have been by far the worst. Maybe I am an outlier but never got answer to any issues that I have had since I applied. Feels like my contacts were blocked as soon as I registered. UI is subpar too. Reviewed on: 12th January 2024
