Money Wellness experience is a positive one.

My experience with Money Wellness was positive from start to finish. My day started no different to any other but by the end of it I felt completely different. I wasn't losing sleep from my finances because I wasn't behind or having any chasing correspondence. I was meeting my monthly payments but the monthly payments were taking the majority of my income & more. There was nothing left for emergencies let alone a treat. I was living day to day on my cards. I was looking to consolditate into 1 payment when I contacted MW. In the initial call from MW I explained my situation & what I hoped could happen. I was told that MW could help. There were 3 options available to me, 2 of which would either cost more money or take longer to repay. The 3rd option was a debt relief order. I appliction to complete with the assistance of another department within MW & then a final check from another department at MW along with a single payment to the governments insolvency service. Once the application is approved by the insolvency service & as long as in the next 12 months there are no changes in my financial circumstances to greatly improve them my debts will be wrote off. The creditors will be informed by MW of the application & approval therefore CANNOT take legal action to recover any moneys owed. I completed my application on the 22/2/24 & it was approved on the 26/2/24 - my direct debits to the creditors have been cancelled. For 12 months, no payments will be made & then if at the end of 12 months my financial circumstances are unchanged I will be debt free. The DRO will remain on my credit file for 6 years & in that time I cannot apply for credit. The whole process took 3hr 56 mins. In 2 telephone calls with 3 people from MW my future is mine, to save & go to New Zealand to visit my son & grandsons. I cannot wait. Thank you Money Wellness Reviewed on: 28th February 2024

Pleasant and helpful staff

Delt with very friendly polite staff who helped me every time with my enquiries and dealing with the whole process of a a DRO. Helped put me at ease with it all and very understanding.
