nimbl has a money app and prepaid card for kids and teens.

With nimbl, your child gets a card and app they can use to spend, save and learn how to manage money. Parents or guardians can set smart limits, instant top-ups and blocks. This is a membership so you’ll need to pay an annual fee to use the account.

Nimbl has been the card of choice for my children for a number of years now. The linked savings facility has taught my children how their money can grow by just putting away small amounts. The spending facility has the added parental safety feature of letting parents know instantly when a purchase is made, where it was made and the transaction amount. My children’s Nimbl cards are linked to their phone accounts, and their online social gaming accounts, so they save up their weekly pocket money, then use their cards to buy downloadable content. If the card is lost or stolen, or the PIN number is needed (normally transactions are contactless) then you can quickly open the app and view your pin. You can also disable and enable the full use and features of the card. Stolen? Disable it. Lost? Apply for a new card and transfer the money out of the child’s account for safe keeping into the parent account. It’s so easy to use, and is perfect for ensuring your children don’t have to carry cash when they reach the age of wanting a little more independence. Really helped kids being independent

During lockdown switch to card payments meant that I could still get my 15yr son to help with buying some emergency food and top up his account. He also could buy things for himself which helps him build life skills. Paying pocket money is easy and encouraged them to save. Now just got one for my 8 yr old daughter who is excited to start saving pocket money so after lockdown she can buy something nice. Reviewed on: 18th January 2021

Fantastic financial start for little ones

Using Nimbl has provided my daughter with important financial skills which will do her well in the future. From putting money into her savings pot every time she makes a purchase to keeping an eye on her finances to make sure she has enough for what she'd like to buy. Allowing parents to watch and monitor everything through the app is a bonus and I can see that she is financially responsible and will do well in her adult life. Easy to use plus peace of mind!

I have a nimbl card for 2 of my children - soon to get the third’s! It’s so easy to transfer money over and top up when necessary. You can set pocket money amount and day it’s paid but also control where the child can use their card - bank machines, online etc. Love the fact that you can set up savings with it too plus micro-savings which they don’t even notice/miss. Plus you can send gift links out to friends & family and money goes straight on to their card to use instantly. A game changer! Reviewed on: 18th January 2021
