I thought Nucleus was different .

I thought Nucleus was different . . . We had been making repayments on our loan, without issue, then on one of the months, they attempted to take payment and were unsuccessful. There was more than sufficient balance to cover the payment, so it wasn't clear why the payment failed. They then notified me to make a manual payment (fair enough, which I did within 24hrs of the original payment failing) but then advised I would have to pay a £250 late payment charge (despite not being able to offer a clear reason for the initial payment failing OR acknowledging that the repayment was made manually within 24hrs thereafter). I put these points to them, but then they shove the terms in my face, stating that they can charge the late payment fee regardless of the circumstance. Note, the late payment fee reflected 25% of the actual repayment amount - a ridiculously excessive sum. They purport to be different to other lenders, but they are just the same - leeches, seeking any opportunity to charge more to their clients, even when it is unjust to do so. AVOID THEM IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR BUSINESS FINANCE - they are unreasonable and will cost you a lot more than what you expect from the outline agreement. Reviewed on: 28th July 2026

What time wasters and ********** and lies

After providing all documents and wasting weeks of time "Computer says NO" that's basically happened twice and never try with them , initially we will get you this that, and nothing happens, but was success with other better companies in first try, so their existence and activities are suspicious Reviewed on: 8th September 2022

Excellent Service

Liars, swindlers, cheats, frauds

Liars, swindlers, cheats, frauds... not enough words to express what a terrible company this is. Thousands of pounds to setup a loan, 9 months later when we want to refinance told we could not due to a ghost clause i.e.unwritten language not allowing us to get rid of this blight. Have been in litigation over 2 years, have caused business failure with liquidation and knock on costs over £1m. So shady they moved to loan to a new Ltd company with a number 1 after it to mitigate losses when they lose their litigation.
