Review of the PayPal, PayPal Credit:

Excellent service

I started using PayPal Credit a few months ago, mostly for a few larger online purchases that I didn’t want to pay for all at once. The signup process was quick — since I already had a PayPal account, it took just a few minutes to apply and get approved. They did a soft credit check initially, and I got a decent credit line right away. What I really like is the “no interest if paid in full in 6 months” offer. It works great for bigger items (like electronics or furniture) when I know I can pay them off in a few months but don’t want to take the hit all at once. As long as I stay on top of payments, it’s basically like using a free loan. The checkout process is super smooth — when I shop online at stores that accept PayPal, I just select PayPal Credit at checkout, and that’s it. No need to pull out a card or type anything in. So far, my experience has been mostly positive. I just treat it like a short-term, interest-free loan and make sure to budget so I can pay it off in time. If you’re good at managing your payments, it can be a really useful tool. But if you tend to carry balances or forget due dates, it could end up costing more than it’s worth.
