One or one thousand cartridges?

A year or two ago, I purchased a single inkjet cartridge via a Dutch companies website. Expecting to pay around £18 for the cartridge upon checking out to my utter horror I had been charged for a FULL pallet of said cartridge, some £11,000 + pounds. Despite phone calls and emails they had whipped in with the payment and cleaned out my account [exceeding my agreed overdraft limit to boot!]. If it hadn't been for PayPal's intervention and excellent liaising between all parties concerned I would have been lumbered with a pallet of a thousand black cartridges and a very hefty loan to service. So you can see why I trust PayPal for my online transactions today, especially their credit arrangements. Reviewed on: 7th July 2026

since starting to use PayPal for my online payments,...

since starting to use PayPal for my online payments, I have infact been 'rescued' by PayPal from a potential bankrupting episode when I ordered one ink cartridge from a European supplier who then wanted to supply me with some £27,000s worth of cartridges. PayPal in concert with my bank managed to get the matter sorted and got back the £11,00 they had immediately transferred out of my account.
