Good for the people, good for the planet

I’ve been banking with Triodos since 2020, and I have to say, both my current and savings accounts are a breath of fresh air! It’s incredible how a local independent bank can rival the tech giants when it comes to their app and online services. But what really sets Triodos apart is their exceptional customer service. Each time I reached out for help, I was greeted with a friendly voice almost instantly, and my issues were resolved in no time. Talk about a 10/10 experience! What truly impresses me is how Triodos manages to combine cutting-edge services with a business model that prioritizes both customers and the planet. Their £3 monthly fee for the current account is refreshingly straightforward—unlike traditional banks that seem to thrive on hidden fees. Triodos keeps everything above board, giving me a sense of security and trust that’s hard to find elsewhere. It genuinely feels like they’re on my side, rather than trying to exploit me, like I've experienced with other banks. One of my favorite features of the Triodos savings account is the ability to see the positive impact of my savings. For instance, my capital has already contributed to generating 44 kWh of renewable energy and prevented the release of 15 kg of CO2 into our atmosphere. As a finance student, I understand the importance of directing capital towards sustainable businesses that help reduce emissions. That was my main reason for choosing Triodos, and I’m thrilled to say they continue to uphold their inspiring vision. Banking with Triodos not only feels rewarding on a personal level, but it also enables me to contribute positively to the planet in a way that’s unlike any other bank.
