As an international student, managing money across different currencies used to be stressful — until I started using Revolut. I heard about it from a friend who said it made life in the UK easier, and honestly, they were right. Setting it up was quick — just a few minutes on my phone and I had a virtual card ready to go. I use it for day-to-day spending, like groceries, transport, or even grabbing a coffee. What I love most is how I can see all my spending clearly categorized — it helped me realize how much I was spending on takeaways! One of the best parts for me is the currency exchange feature. I can switch between GBP and my home currency instantly and at a good rate, with no hidden fees. That’s been super helpful when my family sends me money from back home. I also really like how I can freeze or unfreeze my card in the app if I misplace it, and setting up spending limits helps me avoid going over budget. I haven’t upgraded to the paid plan yet because the free version already covers most of what I need. The only time I got a bit frustrated was when I needed help with a transfer and had to wait a while to hear back from support. But overall, it’s been a game changer for managing money as a student abroad. Reviewed on: 24th April 2025
