Student or young adult with limited credit history!

As a student or young adult with limited credit history, the Vanquis Credit Card is a decent option to start building your credit score—just don’t expect flashy rewards. It’s designed for people with poor or thin credit files, so approval is easier than with most high-street bank cards. The Good: Helps build credit – Reports to all major credit agencies (Experian, Equifax, TransUnion). Pre-approval check – Lets you see if you qualify without a hard credit search. Credit limit increases – Starts low (£150-£1,000) but can grow with good habits. No annual fee (on some cards) – Avoids extra costs while you build credit. Reviewed on: 8th July 2025
