I sent a cheque for £200 which was presented back to...

I sent a cheque for £200 which was presented back to my building society as having been 'cashed', however only £50 was added to my account and I'm still waiting for it to be sorted out. This was the beginning of May. Another cheque has been rejected as I had the wrong card number on so I now have to wait 6 months for that cheque to credit my account as unused. I'm a pensioner and can't afford to lose that money. It also cost me a late payment fine. Reviewed on: 9th July 2025
