A solid option

I took out a loan with Abound and the whole process felt straightforward from the start. The application was quick, and I had a decision the same day, which helped when I needed the money fairly urgently. The fact they look at your bank data rather than just a credit score felt a bit more fair, especially if your credit history is not perfect. The app and online account are easy to use. You can see your balance clearly, track repayments, and even make overpayments without any fuss. Interest rates are not the lowest on the market, but they were reasonable for my situation and clearly explained upfront, so there were no surprises later on. Reviewed on: 27th March 2026
