PayPal pay in 3 helps retain an excellent creditscore

Using PayPal pay in 3 helps me maintain an excellent credit rating score. I do have access to credit cards, but I like the security of paying with PayPal where I don't need to input any personal bank account details when buying from an unknown source. I don't worry about "will I be accepted" when using the credit facility of pay in 3 and it's zero percent interest. It's nice to be able to stretch the full payment out over 3 months on a higher value purchase, it avoids me leaving myself financially short in any month and the monthly re-payment value is always shown before I proceed to authorise the full payment to the vendor Reviewed on: 6th May 2026

I've used PayPal pay in 3 a few times for higher value goods to spread the interest free payments over a few months. It was a great help and effectively helped my overall credit rating, proving I could manage debt which is a positive action. It's nice to know I qualify for pay in 3 should I ever need the facility, definitely cheaper than using a credit card. You still have PayPal's backing about refunding if there is an issue with goods not being delivered and I can't resolve it with the trader Reviewed on: 6th April 2026
