PayPal could significantly enhance the experience by introducing more flexibility into its processes, particularly during account setup and within Pay in 3. The current approach can feel overly stringent, with limited room to resolve issues or make adjustments once decisions are made. Allowing more adaptable verification options, clearer pathways for resolving account restrictions, and greater control over managing Pay in 3 payments (such as rescheduling or adjusting instalments) would make a meaningful difference. Strong Support, but Lacks Flexibility

I’ve used PayPal Pay in 3, and while it’s a convenient concept in theory, the execution feels quite lacking compared to other “buy now, pay later” options. I’ve found it to be quite inflexible when it comes to managing payments or making adjustments, which makes the overall experience feel more restrictive than it needs to be—especially when competitors offer more adaptable repayment options. That said, where PayPal truly stands out is its customer service. In my experience, their support team is responsive, professional, and genuinely helpful—arguably one of the best in the space. Overall, while I appreciate the reliability and support behind PayPal, Pay in 3 wouldn’t be my first choice due to its lack of flexibility. Reviewed on: 7th April 2026
