Good, but payments don’t show immediately

I paid my credit card bill, the following day I moved some money to my savings account it realising the payment hadn’t actually been taken. The PayPal app showed the payment pending so I put money in my bank account to cover it but it didn’t go through. I ended up paying £12 fee because customer services would let me make the payment again to avoid the fee. They said I had to wait for the balance to update. Very frustrating.
