Excellent service. Book arriving tomorrow

Service was excellent and efficient. Also a lot of high interest online savings accounts only switch to a lower interest after 1 year so I opted for the 60 rainy day saver with Hinckley and Rugby Reviewed on: 30th May 2023

Friendly, helpful, very detailed and lengthy process

The staff I dealt with were universally friendly, polite and helpful. The process of arranging a simple top-up mortgage at very low loan to value and for a customer who can clearly afford the top-up payments many times over was incredibly overburdened with repetitive and nit-picklng detail. I do believe the process could be considerably truncated if the personnel had the power to do so, but they are completely constrained by their 'handbook' of process which is absolutely inflexible and ossified in stone. However, of course, it is the company's money and not mine and they are free to dispense it in any way they wish. I think they are wasting time and money by not being able to take a more sensible and business-minded approach to their applications. It's almost as if they are frightened to lend and need to over convince themselves before daring to do one of the 2 most important things this financial company does - lending and taking deposits. Outstanding service

I have just arranged for my existing mortgage to go onto a new mortgage product. This was mainly arranged by Simone Jones, who gave me outstanding customer service, so I would highly recommend Hinckley and Rugby and I am very happy to remain a happy and loyal customer. I hope that Simone Jones will be commended by her managers as it is the fantastic service that she gives, which makes Hinckley and Rugby a great building society and mortgage provider. Thank you.
