I used PayPal Pay in 3 expecting it to give some flexibility during a difficult financial period. Instead, it added pressure at a time when I had very limited access to funds. There is very little consideration for real-life situations where someone may temporarily struggle. The system feels rigid and transactional, rather than responsive to actual circumstances. What stands out most is the lack of human understanding. You are treated as a position in a system, not as a person with a changing situation. In my case, I had already tried to access support through other routes and was refused, which made this even more stressful. There is no space within Pay in 3 to reflect that kind of reality or to pause and respond to it. For a service that is meant to help with managing payments, the experience can quickly become overwhelming if your situation shifts even slightly. Reviewed on: 19th April 2026
