PayPal Payments

5
My experience with PayPal for sending money to friends has been very good overall. It’s quick and convenient, especially when splitting bills or paying someone back. The money usually transfers almost instantly, and it’s easy to use just by entering a phone number or email address. I also like that it feels secure and I can track all my payments in the app, so it’s easy to see what I’ve sent and when. It makes settling up with friends much simpler compared to cash or bank transfers. The main downside is that sometimes fees can apply depending on how the payment is funded or if it’s sent internationally, and once a payment is sent it can’t be reversed, so you have to be careful. Overall, it’s a very convenient and reliable way to send money to friends and pay people back quickly. Reviewed on: 25th April 2026

Chase Savings Account

The savings account is very good because it currently pays the highest interest rate on the market today for easy access savings in a bank account. It gives a boosted rate for new customers so a great incentive to join Chase. It’s fully flexible and you get paid monthly so your savings compound. This is my go to savings account. Would definitely recommend Reviewed on: 25th April 2026

Chase Current Account

5
My experience with the Chase current account has been very positive overall. The app is simple and easy to use, and I like how quickly I can manage everything in one place. Setting up the account was straightforward, and payments and transfers are processed quickly without any issues. I also like the cashback on eligible spending and the fact there are no fees for everyday banking or spending abroad, which makes it very convenient. The ability to open separate “pots” or accounts for budgeting is also really useful for managing my money. The main downside is that it’s an app-only bank, so there are no physical branches or cash deposit options, which can be limiting in some situations. Some features are also quite basic compared to traditional banks. Overall, it’s a modern, reliable, and convenient account that works well for day-to-day spending and budgeting. Plum Cash ISA

5
My experience with the Plum Cash ISA has been mostly positive. It was quick to set up through the app, and I like that it’s easy to manage alongside my other savings. The interest rate is competitive compared to some traditional savings accounts, and it’s helpful being able to see my savings grow tax-free. I also like that it feels quite flexible, with the option to deposit small amounts and transfer money in easily. The app does a good job of tracking savings and making things simple. However, the interest rate can change, and some of the best rates are only available under certain conditions or for a limited time, which can be a bit confusing. Withdrawals are also something to be mindful of depending on how the account is set up. Overall, it’s a convenient and modern way to save, especially for someone who prefers managing money digitally. HSBC Regular Saver

4
My experience with HSBC’s Regular Saver has been positive overall. It’s easy to set up and helps me save consistently each month by setting a fixed amount to be transferred automatically. I like that it encourages disciplined saving and the interest rate is better than a standard savings account, which is a good incentive. The main limitation is that you can only deposit up to a certain amount each month, and you don’t have full flexibility to withdraw whenever you want without affecting the account. However, I understand that’s part of how it encourages saving. Overall, it’s a simple and effective way to build savings gradually with minimal effort. Reviewed on: 25th April 2026
