Review of the PayPal, Pay in 3:

First installment is charged immediately

I was disappointed to learn that PayPal's "Pay in 3" requires the first installment to be paid upfront at checkout. I expected it to work like other BNPL services where the entire payment can be delayed by a few days. While it's useful for splitting larger amounts, it doesn't help if you don't have the funds available on the day of purchase.⁠ Reviewed on: 26th May 2026
