I didn’t contact evolution for a loan but being an existing customer I was offered to top up our existing loan. After a discussion with my wife we thought why not consolidate few debts we have. After going through some initial questions I found the agents questions were very condescending and patronising and felt literally like a naughty school boy getting told off because I put £10 on a football bet at the weekend. Again it was evolution that approached us for a loan but I felt I was asked to jump through hoops to get it over the line. After initially being told they could pay of most of it, it really didn’t help as we’re paying pretty much not better off. Maybe our fault, but I just found the agents very condescending and patronising. Reviewed on: 6th June 2026
