Four Years, Zero Headaches

Been on PayPal something like 4 years now. Mostly online shopping and splitting rent with my roommate. The thing that actually won me over was a refund fight last year. Bought a phone case, seller went silent, thing never showed up. Opened a dispute, chucked in a screenshot of the tracking page, had my cash back inside a week. Didn't have to call anyone or explain myself twice. App's pretty basic honestly. Check balance, send money, buy stuff, that's about it. Only real annoyance is the Friends and Family vs Goods and Services fee thing, my roommate got stung by that once because he picked the wrong button without realizing. Still the only payment app I don't have to think about. Just works. Reviewed on: 7th July 2026
