Paypal credit - pros and cons

I like to use paypal for big purchases and like that they offer you special credit offers. I find it frustrating that you can't choose what part of your balance you pay off. I recently had an 18 month credit plan then bought a holiday in the pay in 4 months and pay 0% interest. I paid off a large chunk but instead of it coming off the holiday which needs paid in 4 months, it came off the 18 month purchase. I could find no way to get in touch with Paypal about this. So just be careful with things like this. I find pay in 3 really good and feel like Paypal is a safe and secure method of payment. Reviewed on: 7th July 2026
