Opening an accocunt

I found the process of opening an online account and logging in unnecessaarily confusing as there was no indication that a 'special word' was not the same as a 'password'. And when I tried to transfer in my first deposit and my bank alerted me that Mansfield's banking details could not be verified and that this might be a scam, I aborted the process and nearly reverted to paying the money to an existing account with another building society. We understand your concerns in relation to transferring your first deposit. The majority of large banks are now using a Confirmation of Payee system, to ensure financial security when making payments online. Although the regulatory deadline is not until 2024, we are working to get this up and running at the earliest opportunity, however in the meantime, we would like to confirm that our banking details are confirmed on our website in our Mansfield Online FAQs or as a document to download from our main savings page https://www.mansfieldbs.co.uk/savings/. Customer service

Customer service is very important to me. The mbs has a few really lovely customer advisers but I do say few. Others do not engage at all...infact they carry on conversations with their colleagues whilst serving you. I usually go into Sutton branch...a couple of the girls are good but that's it. Had a mortgage from '89 to '04. The process was easy and the staff were very helpful. Depisited a lump sum some years later, zgain the staff were friendly and helpful. That lump sum had been there for some years, slowly being spent on things. Over the years finance companies have changed and evolved. It was "a process" to draw out money, having to have a cheque for znything over £500 then going to pay into my bank and wait for it to clear. I have an instant access szvi g accout attached to my current account fhat pays a much higher interest rate and the access is instant with no limits and no penalties. So I've put my money in their.
