Review of the Revolut, Personal Account:

Informal and stress-free current account

Revolut is the most informal and stress-free current account I have ever deal with. I have a free Standard multi -currency account so I can exchange British Pounds to Euro or US Dollars whenever I want. The currency exchange process takes some seconds and the exchange rate is always good. I have set up automatic monthly payment to Italy to pay for my Italian holidays home to my landlord. I have always used Revolut everywhere I go around Europe and have never had any issues, that does not mean I do not take safety measures, I always have another card in case the master card network is down. In case you lose your card while traveling in Europe, they can send you a new card to where ever you are in EU, I am not sure if this is the case when you are outside EU. I have tried the new Revolut share trading, it still is very modest looking with so few information about each stock and with a lot to work to do on it but you can buy shares in a very simple way, I tried with 100 dollars and got back 103 dollars a week later by investing in Apple, I do not need to remind me that shares go up and down. The application is simple and easy to use which is great for me, from it you can ask for a loan, buy Cryptocurrency (just for Premium and Metal customers), buy insurance, make donations and other things I do not use. What I would like to have is a joint account with my wife, we have each I separated Revolut account, there is a way to share money between us but it is nothing compared to a proper joint account. If Sterling Bank and METRO Bank managed to create a joint account why it has not been possible with Revolut? Come on guys!. This is an issue for many couples which by the way there is a big market out there. Nonetheless, I will not under rate Revolut because of this. Revolut works through a mobile banking app only, there is not web banking. I guess it is a way to keep the costs down. Reviewed on: 28th January 2020
