Pleasure to deal with

Have just dealt with the Bath Building Society for the first time in many years and have been really impressed with their professionalism and courtesy. Special mention to Ingrida who dealt with our delay in submitting the Certificate of Title in a calm and friendly manner and who ensured that funds were released in time for completion. Slow to act and respond

Quite possibly the worst mortgage experience in our lives. My wife and I are purchasing a property and the slow response times of Bath and inability to keep to service levels was quite shocking, at one point risking the transaction as our vendor started to lose patience. The BD manager admitted that staffing issues were leading to delays, but there was no proactive communication of such delays until deadline after deadline was missed. The whole mortgage process took over 3 months to conclude. Reviewed on: 23rd June 2023

Chocolate teapot comes to mind

As a joint mortgage holder I have no access to any of the mortgage information. I am not able to access the mobile app as it doesn't recognise me and they dont do online banking. They have however confirmed that if the primary mortgage holder defaults they will then contact me (after my credit rating has been affected). Overall my experience with them and their customer service has been very poor. Reviewed on: 20th June 2023

I contacted the team via the app which was very simple I connected to the wrong department in error but the team got me to the correct person within seconds and arranged someone to call me back. Top service Reviewed on: 12th June 2023
