Excellent concept, excellent execution

I had never heard of pay as you drive insurance before, and admittedly I was sceptical. However I was in a situation where I didn't need my car for commuting, but would need it for long distance driving on weekends to visit my partner (long distance relationship!). Because of this, the 150 mile max charge was a huge selling point for me. So on that, I took the plunge and I have not been disappointed. The customer service has been excellent. The online support in particular is seem less and easy to use. The dashboard app is great and allows you to track your miles and see where your car currently is - this was a huge relief as I lived in a city and occasionally was not able to park in sight of my windows, the app allowed me to make sure my car was still where I left it! I could not recommend bymiles enough for someone who is planning on not driving much, or planning on infrequent long distance journeys. Reviewed on: 6th August 2020
