Excellent customer service

New Customer

I had some money to invest which was doing nothing in a Barclays Bank Cash ISA. Moved the money to Newbury as it is a local building society still owned by its members (not shareholders). Excellent customer service, better rates, tea and cake for 165th birthday on Monday. Barclays customer service awful. Reviewed on: 29th October 2021

Excellent service

From initial engagement with Eve, support from Hannah in underwriting, to interaction with any staff at The Newbury, the service provided during our self build, novation of our mortgage from Self Build to Repayment and the subsequent additional facility to consolidate mortgages on two properties into one has been nothing but excellent. Other service organisations, particularly in the financial sector should try and emulate the customer experience and superb service. A stand out organisation compared to their peers. Easy to open account!
