Disappointed constantly by this bank promise the world & constantly fail to deliver a poor let alone average service. What should take hours or at max a day takes months and I am still waiting for parts of my accounts to be set up over a year after registering. I was promised a new form of banking better hours as well as a whole list of other advantages that have never been delivered or now disappeared. The staff are not aware of their different products & can be patronising even if in the wrong. I recently paid a cheque in Romford branch, when i couldn't see it in my account i called only to be told i had never actually been in to the branch, even after advising i had a paper receipt from branch i was assumed to be or made to feel i was lying , It took 4 Days and various sarcastic members of Metro staff to relocate the cheque and over 45min on the phone, on three separate occasions this also delayed the clearing of funds. I was advised to add a member of staff to my account i would just need to attend a brach with ID ect and it should take no longer than 20min. In reality it took 2.5 hours in branch only for the branch to loose all the information provided, after various forms were sent signed returned and re lost 30 Days had passed, eventually my employee was added only for all the authorisations to be wrong and therefore still useless in total this took over 8 hours on phone & 2 visits to branch over 30 Days to arrange unacceptable !! Honestly the above is just the tip of the iceberg while i feel sorry for some of the staff as they go out of their way trying to Help i also feel they are aware of the issues In My Opinion Metro need less staff with more knowledge whenever i am in brach there seems to be a majority of younger staff doing not a lot and on more than one occasion i have been left waiting for what seems like the end of a personal conversation between staff, before being dealt with myself. The feeling i get in branch is almost like a school common room environment. Most of the desks seem to be empty i assume these are for Managers or use-full staff. Reviewed on: 18th March 2021
