A completely different bank, a fresh approach to banking

I was with first direct previously and although they qualified as different and digital-first, you could easily tell that they were part of HSBC. Monzo is not only digital-first, but also has a fresh approach to banking, with a community-driven ethos and continual drive for innovation. They also want to be more (expanding into the US and applying for banking licences) and this really sets them apart from virtual competitors like Revolut, making them feel like a real bank and one that has a strong future.
