Best banking experience

I have invited numerous people to join Monzo, I couldn’t rate it highly enough. It has a simple to use and user friendly interface. Customer support that fast and easy to access if you ever have to and I have never had an issue which was caused by them (my own error which they helped me resolve). Setting up is quick and secure, they set the benchmark which a lot of other banks are copying with open banking and roundups etc. Having an easier way to view and manage my money has meant I have made positive changes to spending habits and savings which is great! And I know loads of my friends that had no savings and now do as a result of understanding their money better. Now you can obviously see where you’re spending your money with other banks and on a statement etc, but being able to easily categorise spending, create pots and set/see monthly budgets etc inside the app without any laborious manual input is just awesome. The only negative is it’s highlighted to me how lazy I was before, because I wasn’t tracking the things I do now it’s easier. I initially got this just so I could use it abroad on a work trip, as it gave me the facility to attach expenses receipts etc but it’s now my main bank/card. Honestly couldn’t rate highly enough! There’s some cool extras you can add using third party services like IFTT where you can set it to save Xamount whenever you spend money on Xcategory etc. Might be a bit gimmicky I guess but whatever floats your boat! It’s also the perfect way to split a bill or tab with some friends! Monzo have been working on more features which I haven’t used yet, and there is now some paid subscription accounts (like all banks have) where you can earn additional rewards and benefits for extra services like mobile insurance and travel insurance etc - it’s nothing new to the world of banking but the processes are so easy with Monzo!
