Modern bank with a great support team

Despite Monzo being an app only bank and fairly new to the scene, I have had better service from Monzo than I have with other traditional banks. Their support has been outstanding and the optional additional services they provide are similarly priced to other competitors and have been a great use to me. I have been using their Monzo premium service and their credit score checker and phone insurance have been a great use to me. Claiming on the insurance was a breeze when I cracked the glass on my phone's camera. They are using a third party to perform the repairs and my phone was repaired good as new. Recently they've added the ability to see accounts from other banks which means the Monzo app is now my one stop shop for checking both my account and my credit card from another bank. Their service gives immediate notifications when money is taken from your Monzo account and their ability to freeze and unfreeze cards immediately give me the piece of mind that my money is safe. My one and only real criticism is that I would love to see Monzo bring out a web app so that I don't need to charge my phone to view my account or in the event of my phone being broken or stolen. Apart from that I'm extremely happy with the service Monzo has provided and I'd recommend people to consider them when looking for a new bank. Reviewed on: 13th April 2021
