Accessibility and usability

Banking is behind the times with digital accessibility and usability. Yet monzo are leading the charge with making it better! You’ve got, pots, attaching image receipts, requesting payments, saying thank you when youve got payments, categorising payments, paying from pots so you don’t overspend and even that little kerching when money goes in. It’s all built with what a user needs and wants based on current trends too. Reviewed on: 3rd April 2024

21st century banking

With simple features like a kerching when you receive money they provide simple enjoyments. Plus there are so many other cool benefits that mainstream banks are only just starting to tap into. These are things such as: the ability to attach receipts to a transaction at the time you buy things; categorise transactions, add tags to each transaction, round up the pennies into savings, have separate pots for different costs to support budgeting, have a percentage meter on your savings goals, send and request money through a text, say thank you to people who send you money, split bills, move money based on the weather or your location etc. through IFTTT; or even just Set spending limits for the month to help you budget. There’s so much monzo do that other banks just haven’t considered. They’re truest looking at bringing banking into the 21st century to match how people actually use and need to use money going forwards. I just wish you could take a photo of your cheques like you can with HSBC! Reviewed on: 14th April 2021
