The future of car insurance

I am so happy I chose By Miles for my car insurance. The app is so simple to use and every time I have a query everyone is so friendly to talk to about it when I call. Like everyone I wanted to save money on my car insurance but I would never choose a black box policy to be tracked and constantly reviewed for my driving, I would rather pay more, but By Miles is great because I have the benefit of only paying for the miles I drive (plus the cost to leave the car on my drive) without feeling like I have to pretend I’m on my driving test each time I get in the car. I am also comforted by the fact that if my circumstances changed and I did start doing a lot of miles again I wouldn’t pay more than if I took out a typical policy as mileage costs are capped at £10k. I can see my mileage on the app so I have a good idea of the mileage cost each month meaning there are no nasty surprises. Since the pandemic I have many friends who have complained to me about having to pay in full when their mileage has dropped 80% but I don’t have to. I highly recommend By Miles and their pay as you go strategy. It feels ‘fair’ and that isn’t a word usually associated with insurance! Fairness creates loyalty so I’ll be happy to renew when I come to the end of my contract. Reviewed on: 4th August 2021
