Review of the Admiral, Car insurance:

Willing to keep their customers when others wouldn't.

I've been with Admiral for 2 years, I'm starting my 3rd year with them now. I would like to point that during the pandemic they gave back to their customers monetarily since many were not using their cars due to lockdowns. This was a nice gesture and credit where it is due. My renewal was a bit on the high side this year, I gave them call and they were able to lower my renewal inline to what it was the previous year (thank Laura). I don't tend to move around unless I feel I am paying well over the odds. In the past I was with Sabre insurance, for 5 years in total and they would not budge on the last renewal I was with them. It was considerably higher than the comparison sites at about £200 higher. I'm over 30 with maximum no claims so there was no reason for the extortionate price, they lost me as a customer that day. Admiral on the other hand were willing to meet me part way and they now have me as a customer for another year and maybe longer. I do not understand the fascination of getting new customers when it comes to insurance companies when they let their current customers go when they have an established relationship with them and they can potentially hold on to them for years without paying commission to a comparison site.
