Review of the Admiral, Car insurance:

Great service for first-time car owners!

My partner and I were late bloomers to owning a car, being 30 and 39 years old when we bought our first one. Both of us were completely terrified of the whole thing, and I got into an insurance comparison black-hole with different quotes on every Internet tab until I was convinced the little C1 on the street was going to bankrupt us overnight. A phone call to Admiral sorted it all right out. I went in with the intention to haggle like a veteran car owner, and instead just admitted that I had no idea what I was doing but please take pity on my finances. The customer service rep was absolutely lovely and guided me through it all so nicely that when renewal time came I called back to make some changes and get a price match because I didn't want to change provider. During lockdown, I got a little cash back based on using the car so infrequently and I can use the online account option to make changes quickly and easily outside of normal call hours. Thankfully I haven't had to claim anything (touch wood!) but this newbie car owner is still very pleased with the service so far. Reviewed on: 14th August 2022
