Was excellent but service dropped when my mother passed away

My mother died on the 10th of May 2022. She had a fall and was hospitalised on the 9th of May2022. She died the day after. As sole executor and beneficiary with Power of Attorney over all her financial affairs mums property was put up for sale in early July 2022. The House & Contents insurance, with yourselves ran out in Late August, I think, from memory. If not late August then early September 2022. I needed to have this ibsurance continuing until the completion date of the sale. Your office advised me to take a monthly payment option (rightly or wrongly) saying that under these circumstances that was the easiest thing for me to do at such a difficult time. I appreciated the help and advice One Call gave me. I rang One Call to notify you of the completion date and then notified my bank that I had spoken to your office. They were happy stopping any further payments from being paid. I don't understand why this is now developing into some sort of big issue. I've done everything that you have asked of me. If I've been given the wrong advice by your office at any stage then that's for you to sort out, not me. I must admit that after receiving an email from your office expressing your condolences at my mother's passing it's quickly changed to "business as normal". Whatever the outcome of this situation, I will look very closely at your renewal of my own H & C Policy when that comes up for renewal next year. Please act sensibly and quickly to aleviate further distress. Reviewed on: 11th October 2022
