It's the bank account I've always wanted

I moved to Monzo after 20+ years with the Nationwide. Having seen customer service and customer focus gradually evaporate at Nationwide as it dumped its Building Society ethos and became a bank in all but name, I decided to take my money elsewhere. Monzo's customer service has been consistently excellent every time I've needed it, the app works flawlessly and is constantly evolving. With the addition of flex, overdrafts and loans (all of which I have now), every process is simple to use, fits how I live my life and, in the case of applying for a loan, was the most painless financial experience of my life. The fact Monzo has achieved this illustrates the huge gap between it and other banks that are still struggling with the basics of "put the customer first". Reviewed on: 13th March 2023
