Amazing

I have 3 children using the kite spaces and it has been the best thing I have done! In a world where everything is contactless it was a brilliant way of introducing my brood to the cashless world. I feel it’s important for them to learn early that money doesn’t grow on trees, that there is not an endless supply available to them and that they need to budget their pennies! It’s excellent that they have access to their account on their phone and can see that every purchase they make whether it’s a bag of sweets from the shop that’s ONLY 50p or the “extra” vbucks/robucks they frivolously glitter away on their games all add up and when they “really” want to go to the cinema with their mates, but the budget doesn’t cover it because they splurged on an online game, life lessons are learnt very quickly! Equally, having a place that they can watch their money grow as they save for something they really want is also incredibly satisfying! My children range in age from 8-11 and they all use starling kite to manage their pocket money. Of course I fund the clubs, clothes, life expenses, however, letting them manage a little part of their lives is so rewarding. I love that the parent/care giver can set the spend limits and online purchases and that you can give as much or as little freedom as appropriate. The instant spend notification to both the adult and the child is a great way of keeping an eye on what they are spending on and also an added tracking device for the older kids!!!
