An ethical bank which is so easy to use

From my first contact with Triodos, all transactions have been very positive. Transferring from my old current account to the Triodos account was completely seamless. Checking statements, making payments - all are available on my phone via a simple, intuitive menu (and I’m of the older generation). I care a lot about the planet and made a positive choice to move from one of the big five banks who invest heavily in fossil fuels, to an ethical bank for which I pay £3 a month to use, and have no regrets at all at choosing Triodos. Every step of the way has been positive

Every step of the way has been positive since I set up my Triodos account in June 2022. Simple processes, clear instructions, the transfer of all the SOs and DDs etc from my previous account went smoothly without a hitch. As a trustee of a climate-related organisation I’m relieved, proud even, to know that all Triodos financial activity is totally ethical. Reviewed on: 4th March 2025

A bank account that feels good

Two years in to having a Triodos account, every single experience from setting up to paying a new individual of business has been straightforward. I first encountered Triodos as a co-signatory to a CIC account where all I had to do was electronically sign paperwork. From then on I periodically contacted the bank and was delighted when it was ready to accept new personal customers. That for me was a good measure - a business which was growing at the speed it knew was sustainable. Like so many others, I worried about the switch over. Absolutely painless. And thus it has continued. The online app is very easy to use. I have no reservations at all about paying £3 a month to use the service - it feels right and I know my money is being used ethically.
